Tandoori Chicken Marinated with our secret Recipe from Lahore (India Pre 1947), using spices that will tingle your taste buds !
A classic chicken starter recipe! Tandoori Chicken is first
marinated in freshly made tandoori masala and other spicy masaley along
with oil and curd and then char grilled to perfection. Served with onion
rings and a green chutney. The juicy and full of spice chicken pieces
just fill you up with its delectable taste and makes this dish of
Tandoori Chicken a must have snack at a dinner party with family or
friends.
Preheat the oven at 240 C for at
least 15 mins.
Place a foil on the tray. Next grease it.
Place the chicken pieces over the foil or greased wire
rack. If using a wire rack place a tray under it to hold the
drippings.
Grill the chicken for about 15 mins.
Then baste the chicken with oil. Grill for 5
mins.
Flip the chicken to the other side and baste with
oil.
Grill for another 6 to 10 mins.
The last 5 mins, you can move it to the top most rack. This
gives the charred look. You can also burn a char coal piece and
place it in a small cup. Keep that in the chicken tray. Cover with a
large utensil. Allow it to smoke for 5 to 7 mins.
Restaurant style tandoori chicken is ready. Serve with
onion and lemon wedges.
Tandoori Chicken can also be Cooked in an Earthen Tandoor for about 20 to 25 minutes or grilled over charcoal on a griller for best flavour.
